Perfect conditions in Denmark and Germany... 10 days of windsurfing in a row... just incredible. And it is still blowing. We had perfect days in Hanstholm/Denmark until Wednesday. We had to leave because my boyfriend Henning crashed into his board and we had to go back to Kiel to the Hospital to check his left shoulder. Luckily there is no serious injury, but he has to stop for 6 weeks. The pic on the left was done by Richie in Hanstholm last Saturday! Back to Kiel the wind didnt stop and I had great times with my friends in Brasil (a surfspot near Kiel), Lippe and Heiligenhafen (near Fehmarn). The photo on the right hand side shows Schirin doing her supercool Piroutte - Jibe in Lippe yesterday morning. There were no waves at all, but it was nice to practise some freestyle stuff. The temperatures are alright now (air 8 - 10 degrees celcius, water 11 degrees celcius), it could be warmer...... like always! But right now there is nothing to complain about. The last week was just perfect for sailing and now Im really happy to be back here in Kiel. Lets hope that the wind will stay. It looks perfect for tomorrow and I think we will get some really nice waves tomorrow! See you. Six weeks in Germany It is definitely frustrating to sit here in the northern part of germany and to watch all the weather forecasts and maps and it seems that all the lows are powered out before they reach the german coast. The day before yesterday the wind forecast predicted 20 - 25 knots!!! But nothing happened. Sometimes there were some gusts..... One nice thing: the colza fields are blooming.... I am here for six weeks now and after leaving South Africa I have been sailing twice!! Its not too cold or anything else, there is just no wind at all. Only nice and sunny weather! Cape Town was perfect this season. We had so much wind and waves and it was just incredible. The last days I did some photos with Sjaak van der Linden and his wife Simone and it was just great to see the photos on their computer in the evenings. I think I will be back next winter. Maybe I should go to Maui but I just dont want to spend that much money. Lets see!!! Now I am planing to fly one week to the Canary Islands. Lets see what the weather forecast looks like. Maybe we get some wind at the Baltic sea and I can show you how windsurfing here can be. KEEP WELL!!
